Discover the natural beauty of the awe inspiring Sigatoka River on an exciting jet boat adventure!

Your journey begins when we pick you up from your resort and transfer you to our base in Sigatoka town – a bustling village near the mouth of the large Sigatoka River.

Step aboard our comfortable boat and soak up the scenery as you experience a scenic cruise into the beautiful Sigatoka Valley. Enjoy views of Fiji’s famous ‘Salad Bowl’ – Named for its colourful patchwork of fruit and vegetable crops.

Upon arrival at our departure point, your hosts will provide you with life jackets and a safety briefing before you board the jet boat – This is where the fun really begins!

Hear about the fascinating history of this magical region (including its cannibal past!) as we journey up the vast Sigatoka River. Wave to the children from the many villages along our route and don’t forget to look to the crystal clear waters below that are teeming with many species of fish.

The highlight of your journey will be when we stop at a remote local village and experience a traditional Fijian kava ceremony and are given a warm welcome by the locals.

Take a tour of the village, enjoy a delicious Fijian lunch and experience traditional Fijian singing and dancing before boarding the boat for the return journey.

Sigatoka River Safari's visit a different village each day to minimise the impact of tourism on the village lifestyle in this remote part of the world.

    Life time Memory.

Was the most amazing day, life time memory, and to be chosen to be chief was very special,if you want a Fiji Cultural experience this is the trip for you,to exchange kava with the village chief and to dance and sing with the village was something I will never forget and our guide Tia was outstanding her knowledge of Fijian History was unreal and can drive a jet boat and Captain Ace the way he presented the ceremony and his translation of Fijian to English so we understood the process of the day was very professional,a fantastic 5 star day my wife and I will remember for ever thank you Tia and Captain Ace.

    Great experience, knowledgeable local staff

From Joe, our driver, to “ace”, our tour leader and boat driver, the staff was real good. Visiting a local village, one of seventeen that they alternate going to that are very remote, small, and authentic was a treasure. The villagers were very friendly, fun, and welcoming. The lunch the villagers made for us was delicious, varied, fresh, and local. The village we visited does not have electricity, hard to imagine in this day and age. The village children were typical of kids anywhere, happy, playful, inquisitive, and beautiful. Be prepared by bringing along small gifts of gratitude for the village. I brought a solar powered led camping light, a couple led flashlights and spare batteries. You will enjoy this.

    Awesome day!!!

Thank you to all involved, it was an amazing experience, best tour by far. GI Joe our driver kept the group amused whilst driving us to Sigatoka and back to our hotels. Captain Tia who drove the jet boat was very informative in regards to the villages and their people. The hospitality the villagers gave us was most welcoming such friendly people who let us into their homes and hearts. Loved every minute of the tour. ?
